First, lets get one thing clear. I am careless, a bit clumsy, impatient, and impulsive. I poke and tap at my PDA screen with pretty much whatever is available at one time or another. I do a lot of entry work in my car with my PDA hanging and I will often reach up and tap a number with my fingernail. (did you have any idea they were so hard and abrasive?) Consequently, my PDA touch screen has a pattern of scuff marks in the shape of the number keyboard layout with an extra mark in each upper corner.( a friend says this is the same pattern left by too much game play but I was working! Honest!) This had gotten so bad I was considering buying a replacement touch screen and attempting installation.
I had tried a couple of screen protectors in the past. I tried making my own (did
I mention I'm a bit clumsy). I also tried some of the multipack store
bought protectors. They come so many to a pack because a person like me
scratches them too much just cleaning the installation smudges from them. I
tried another brand single protector. It installed nicely but was too glare
resistant causing images to blur just enough for aging eyes like mine to suffer.
Also, sliding a stylus across the surface was coarse and rough.
In comes the Javoscreen PDA Screen Protector!
It comes with a single screen protector, a cleaning cloth and a smoothing card, all packed in separate plastic sleeves. We tested Javoscreens for the Dell Axim X5 and the HP ipaq 2215. Fit on both is perfect. My review pack did not come with installation instructions but there was a website listing where there are detailed instructions. The protector was amazingly easy to position and install. Even removing and reapplying is no problem and leaves no residue. Cleaning it with the same supplied cloth used before installation did not leave any scratches. The best part, though, is most of my existing screen damage is not visible under normal light. The screen is not significantly blurred by the no glare surface. There is a slight darkening of the screen as well as a slight softening of image edges but this is more than offset by the glare free surface.

To sum up, the Javoscreen is not difficult to install and will likely save your nice screen from looking like the before picture above. However, if , like me, your screen already looks like the before picture, it can still look like the after picture.
Pros:
Installs / repositions easily
Durable
Glare free
- improved visibility in direct light
Washable
Cons:
No instructions in package
The screen
protector kit retails for $10.95
