I've been a fan of ALK Technology's CoPilot line for a long time. So far CoPilot has failed to disappoint. If one were to want to feel this report is biased, it's only because CoPilot is, IMO, one of the best everyday GPS setups available.

So, with that in mind, my LAST REPORT dealt with CoPilot Live 6. Live 7 takes all the great features reported there, and go's a few steps further:

I've known these guys for so long now. It's hard to think of much to say. But here goes. One REALLY GREAT FEATURE of this package is that if comes with ALL of the North American Maps pre-loaded on a 2gb SD CARD!!!

The new CoPilot, version 7 is fantastic. It combines all the features you're come to know and trust, and adds the functionality of a new, nicely designed menu, CoPilot Central, where you can exchange map data, voices all sorts of things with other users. very accurate position readings, a great set of POI's (Points of Interest), Map themes, very niccely updated maps...Sheesh where to go from here?

Guys and gals, CoPilot is, and I bet always will be, one of the best buys you can make in GPS country for use on a SMARTPHONE, PDA, LAPTOP, name it. Quick recalculation of routes (Through CoPilot Live services), multiple route choices, fast east acquisition and cold start times...The list goes on.

Knowing the people at CoPilot, they have and always will strive to be tops in design, programming etc. Their designers have talent. This talent shows in Copilot navigation systems. If they ever come out with their own handheld, all in one devices, I'll be first in line to take a peek!

One Postscript: Search the News and Reviews forum for CoPilot. You will see the linear evolution of a wonderful product. This version has all the quality of all it's predecessors.
