IT builds a new help desk system for the organization where this pilot fish works, and it's a big improvement.

"Now users could enter help desk tickets from anywhere and have the ticket routed to the right person," says fish.

"Our CIO made the decision that this help desk could be used for anything, PC-related or not. For example, it could be used for building maintenance requests.

"About three days into the new help desk, a ticket is entered requesting building service -- there was a window leaking.

"My CIO was reading all of the calls. To this one he dutifully responded: 'Please enter your version of Windows when opening a ticket.'"

New -- Five for the Road -- OTTERBOX!

By ctcost

Here we are again. Christmas has come and new phones are a big part of gift giving. Just in time to protect your new toy, the good people at Otterbox have released five new cases in established lines. We'll start off with the:

Commuter series for HTC Ozone, Nokia E72 and LG KM900 phones. Other phones as well:

This series consists of a three piece case: The inner case is a silicon slip cover, followed by a hard outer shell, and to top it off, a screen saver! The case is perfect for everyday light protection of your phone against accidental bumps, drops and scratches, what have you? The case is not waterproof but will help to protect you in the wind and rain!

This case retails at the Otter site for $34.95 and considering your phone's worth, it's darn well worth the price!

Second off, we have the Impact series case for LG KM900 Arena, as well as others:

When you want to keep the protection simple, this is a great way to do it, a simple silicon sleeve case. This case will help to keep the phone safe, and, it slides in your pocket very easily! The case retails at the link above for $19.95 with a screen protector.

Last but not least, the heavyweight protection of the Defender series:

The one Otterbox sent me is for the Nokia E72, however they do have them available for other units. This case offers of: silicon sleeve, hard plastic outer shell and a fully interactive face membrane; the case also sports a belt clip. Again, while not waterproof, it definitely adds great protection for the daily grind! The case retails for $49.95

Well for now, that's it from Happy Holiday central! Over and out; Roger, Aye Aye Santa, etc.
