IT builds a new help desk system for the organization where this pilot fish works, and it's a big improvement.

"Now users could enter help desk tickets from anywhere and have the ticket routed to the right person," says fish.

"Our CIO made the decision that this help desk could be used for anything, PC-related or not. For example, it could be used for building maintenance requests.

"About three days into the new help desk, a ticket is entered requesting building service -- there was a window leaking.

"My CIO was reading all of the calls. To this one he dutifully responded: 'Please enter your version of Windows when opening a ticket.'"

Vugo

http://vugo.com/vugo.php

I'm not sure if this goes here. It does play mp3s.

The following media file formats are supported by VUGO:
- Photo: BMP, TIF, JPG, GIF, PNG
- Video: WMV, ASF, MPG-1, AVI
- Music: MP3, WAV

It's probably not something for the digital AV aficionado, but I bet a younger sibling would find it cool. Styled like a GameBoy Advance, the VuGo can playback music, movies, and pictures transferred through its USB connection. It also features one-touch recording from any video source; you can't really get much content on its built-in 128 MB memory, but you can expand that with the onboard SD slot (cards up to 2 GB are supported). 3 inch backlit screen and built-in speaker are decent. Battery life isn't great (3.5 hours for "content", 1 hour recording, on 3 AAA's), but at least it comes with an AC adaptor. Video downloads (cartoon shows, etc.) are available on the VuGo site for $ 1.99.

Well, if you don't want to spend $600-$800 for one with a hard drive this seems the way to go for @$125. And you gotta love the fact it runs on 3 AAA batteries. I might have bought one but I can do most of that with the e800 which has a 4" screen.

After reading this review it doesn't seem that great. The image is very pixelated and if you record a show with it you can only watch it on that vugo. And if you buy content it can only be played on the player it was bought for (you have to register to buy content).

The VuGo could have been something great for kids and teens. However the cost, the restrictions, and the low-quality screen are going to be a deal breaker for most.
You know, if it had a better screen and less restrictive DRM it might have been a hit. I checked Walmart, Amazon (both sold out) and Target (still in stock). I think they probably won't restock them.

yeah sounds about on par with the FM transmitter I have that plays from Jump drives...It's great but everytime I start the car I have to reset the station then fast forward to the song it was at when I stopped the car, even if that's 50 songs down the line.
