DRIVING
Two elderly women were out driving in a large car - both could barely see over the dashboard. As they were cruising along, they came to an intersection. The stoplight was red, but they just went on through.
The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself "I must be losing it. I could have sworn we just went through a red light." After a few more minutes, they came to another intersection and the light was red again.
Again, they went right through. The woman in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light had been red but was really concerned that she was losing it. She was getting nervous At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was red and they went on through. So, she turned to the other woman and said, "Mildred, did you know that we just ran through three red lights in a row? You could have killed us both!"
Mildred turned to her and said, "Oh! Am I driving?" |

MULTI-PLATINUM SINGER-SONGWRITER JEWEL'S SOLO ACOUSTIC HEADLINE TOUR TO KICK OFF
OCTOBER 27th AND RUNS THROUGH NOVEMBER
NASHVILLE, TN - Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jewel is set to kick off her fully
acoustic headlining tour at the end of October for 17 dates in the southwest. In
addition to her tour, the three-time Grammy nominee is currently working on a follow
up to her first country album, Perfectly Clear, which was released in June 2008 and
debuted at #1 on the Billboard country charts.
"There is something very intimate about doing solo acoustic dates," said Jewel. "I
feel as though I'm connecting with my audience and they get a chance to truly know
me and I get to know them."
Jewel will have several talented artists opening for her along her tour. Meiko
( www.myspace.co/meiko ) will be on the first nine tour
dates - October 27th through November 5th. Holly Williams (www.hollywilliams.com)
will open for the remainder of the tour, with the exception of the Bossier City, LA
date on November 14th when Cameron MeShell
( www.cameronmeshell.com ) will open for her.
Most recently, Jewel debuted her first-ever independent release, Lullaby, in a
partnership with Fisher-Price(r) and Somerset Entertainment. The acoustic album
features 10 self-penned songs and a few standards including beautiful renditions of
"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." Along with her
musical endeavors, Jewel is very passionate about her charity Project Clear Water,
which a non-profit charitable foundation that is working to improve the quality of
life for millions of people by helping to provide clean water on a global scale.
Recently, Project Clean Water partnered with the Voss Foundation and Virgin Unite to
launch the Give A Drop campaign which will support water projects in Sub-Saharan
Africa.
